Our Approach

We combine hormone testing, prescription medication, and physician guidance to help you optimize your health.

How it works

Enclomiphene Citrate is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) that works by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus. This action increases the production of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), which in turn stimulates the testes to produce more testosterone naturally. Unlike exogenous testosterone, Enclomiphene helps maintain the body's natural hormone balance and fertility.

Optimizing your dosage

The optimal dosage of Enclomiphene Citrate varies from person to person. At Vital Protocol, we start with a standard dose of 6.5mg daily and adjust based on individual response. Regular blood tests and consultations with our healthcare providers ensure that your dosage is tailored to achieve optimal testosterone levels while minimizing potential side effects.

Clinical Studies

Clinical trials have shown that Enclomiphene can increase total testosterone levels by 100-200% in hypogonadal men, bringing them well within the normal range (300-1000 ng/dL), without negatively impacting sperm production like TRT.

Unlike TRT, which can decrease sperm production by impairing LH and FSH production, Enclomiphene has been shown to maintain or even improve sperm concentration.

Enclomiphene works by helping your body naturally increase luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which are necessary prerequisites for testosterone and sperm production. This stimulates your body to naturally produce more testosterone, without negative impacts on sperm production or testicular size. Testosterone replacement, on the other hand, may interfere with LH and FSH, resulting in lower sperm production and testicular shrinkage.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Vital Protocol.

Am I a good candidate for Enclomiphene?
If you're a biological male experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, such as low energy, low mood, reduced libido, difficulty building muscle, or trouble focusing, you may be a good candidate for Enclomiphene treatment. A lab test and consultation with one of our physicians will be the best way to determine if Enclomiphene is right for you. Start by taking our quick eligibility quiz here.
What is Enclomiphene?
Enclomiphene is a medication that helps stimulate your body's natural ability to produce testosterone. It is often used off-label to treat men with low testosterone, and has been clinically shown to double testosterone levels. Enclomiphene is taken as a once-daily pill, with the dosage decided upon based on your lab results and in coordination with one of our physicians.
When can I expect to see results?
You can typically expect to see results from Enclomiphene within a few weeks of starting treatment. However, full benefits may take a few months to show, as your body adjusts and testosterone levels gradually increase.
Does Enclomiphene have side effects?
Side effects of Enclomiphene are minimal, and the drug is generally well tolerated, with side effects occurring relatively rarely. Some known, but rare side effects include headache, nausea, joint pain, and dizziness. Our physicians will discuss potential risks and monitor your progress to ensure treatment is safe and effective for you.
How is this different from TRT?
Enclomiphene is different from Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) in that it stimulates your body to produce its own testosterone rather than supplying synthetic testosterone. This approach can maintain natural hormone balance and avoid some side effects associated with TRT, such as testicular shrinkage and infertility.
